According to a report by Kyiv Post on Friday, May 15, 2026, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces has announced a large-scale overnight strike campaign targeting Russian military infrastructure and occupied territories.
The operation, reportedly coordinated across several regions, was said to involve 55 confirmed strikes on 23 separate Russian military targets. The announcement was made by USF commander Robert Brovdi, also known by the callsign “Madyar.”
According to Ukrainian officials, the strikes affected multiple locations including Taganrog and Yeysk in Russia, as well as occupied areas in Crimea, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Berdyansk and Melitopol.
Brovdi stated that several high-value Russian military assets were hit during the operation, including a Be-200 amphibious aircraft and a Ka-27 naval helicopter reportedly stationed in the Morskoy area. Ukrainian forces also claimed to have targeted Russian air defence systems, including a Tor-M2 system in the Luhansk region and a Pantsir-S1 system in occupied Crimea.
In addition, Ukraine said a cargo vessel allegedly transporting ammunition in Berdyansk was struck, alongside military logistics facilities and a training centre in Luhansk.
The USF commander further claimed that Ukrainian operations between May 1 and May 15 had destroyed 17 Russian air defence systems. Since December, he alleged that Ukrainian forces have eliminated more than 150 Russian defence assets, including missile systems, radar stations and electronic warfare units.
The report also mentioned a separate strike on the Ryazan oil refinery in Russia, allegedly carried out in coordination with Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces and Defence Intelligence Directorate. Russian authorities confirmed that drone debris caused a fire at an industrial facility in the region.
