According to a report by TheCable on Friday 15th May 2026, the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (Peoples Democratic Party) aligned with former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has conducted its screening exercise for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections, screening a sole presidential contender alongside 25 governorship aspirants drawn from 17 states across the country.
The exercise took place on Thursday at the PDP Legacy House in Abuja, where party officials and screening committees reviewed credentials of aspirants as the faction moves forward with its internal electoral process.......>>>
