Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced the return of Orijin as the official alcohol sponsor of the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival, reinforcing the company’s continued commitment to celebrating and preserving Nigerian culture through one of the country’s most iconic cultural gatherings.

The announcement was made at a press conference held in Ijebu-Ode, where media, cultural stakeholders, traditional leaders, and representatives of the Ojude Oba Festival Committee gathered to unveil plans for this year’s partnership and Orijin’s cultural activation ahead of the highly anticipated festival.

Building on last year’s “The Roots Run Deeper” platform, which explored the depth of identity and reconnection with heritage, this year’s partnership evolves the conversation toward how culture and identity are expressed today.

Speaking at the press conference, Rotimi Odusola, Corporate Relations and Legal Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc, said:

“Ojude Oba represents pride, heritage, and the richness of our cultural identity. At Guinness Nigeria, we are proud to continue supporting platforms that celebrate the essence of who we are as Nigerians. Through Orijin, we remain committed to creating experiences that honour culture while connecting meaningfully with consumers and the communities we serve.”

Rooted in African originality and cultural expression, Orijin’s association with Ojude Oba reflects the brand’s enduring connection to tradition, community, and authentic Nigerian experiences. This year’s partnership is expected to deliver immersive cultural moments that spotlight the vibrancy and communal spirit that define the festival.

Coordinator of the Ojude Oba Festival Organising Committee, Professor Fassy Yusuf, welcomed the partnership, stating that:

“Partnerships like this are essential to preserving and elevating our cultural heritage, and they ensure that festivals like ours continue to thrive and remain relevant for future generations. The private sector has a vital role to play in keeping our traditions alive, and we are grateful for partners who show up year after year with genuine respect for what this festival represents.”

As part of its broader commitment to Nigerian communities and culture, Guinness Nigeria continues to invest in platforms that celebrate music, entertainment, creativity, and traditional heritage across the country, guided by its purpose to help Nigerians celebrate life, every day, everywhere.
