Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has spoken on his admiration for music star Davido.
Kemi Filani reported that the comic actor had linked up with the singer and celebrity designer Seyi Vodi at an event in Abuja.
Sharing photos from their meetup, Lateef revealed that he has always admitted Davido, even though they’re from different industries and backgrounds. He noted that they shared the same passion for greatness, creativity, and putting smiles on the faces of their fans across the world.
Lateef added that as an actor, he admires icons who move the culture with their craft, and Davido is one of them and is a musical genius.
He also appreciated Seyi Vodi for always striving to connect people from different industries. Lateef said real influence isn’t about success, it’s about bringing greatness together.
“Link up with the serial hitmaker himself, Davido, @davido, a musical genius I’ve always admired. Even though we’re from different industries and backgrounds, we share the same passion for greatness, creativity, and putting smiles on the faces of our fans all across the world.
As an actor, you admire icons who move culture through their craft, and Davido is most definitely one of them. Bless up brotherly!!
Big appreciation to the baba himself, @seyivodi, for always striving to make this type of connection between industry titans happen. Real influence is not just about success — it’s about bringing greatness together. Your vision, network, and energy are truly exceptional. Respect always”.
After his AMVCA win, the father of triplets described himself as a soul who never conformed, misunderstood yet unwavering. He hailed himself for not relenting in rising, redefining, and becoming. Lateef said he is aligning with his blessings as he rises, triumphs, and is blessed.
Refreshing your memory, at the 12th edition of the AMVCA on Saturday, Lateef’s movie Lisabi won Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) and Best Makeup. While receiving his award, he dedicated it to his wife, who has given him three children.
In an Instagram post, he said that the past few weeks have been filled with many heartwarming events for him. From the overwhelming celebration of their kings by the entire nation, he has been developed by love and warmth. He appreciated the organisers for recognising their work and expressed gratitude to his wife, Mo Bimpe, who has held his hand as they made it happen.
Last year, Lateef, while reflecting on his journey, recalled how people questioned his colleague, Yewande Adekoya, when she handpicked him for a role, but she stood firm and saw the future. Lateef said when his personal production failed, he almost gave up, but he kept hustling and did lots of free work before heaven smiled on him.
In a previous post, while reflecting on his journey, he admitted it wasn’t smooth. However, that’s what makes the triumphs sweet, hence why his heart can’t be filled with gratitude.
The talented actor opened up on his pre-fame journey recalling how the man who trained him in the Yoruba movie industry told him that he would fail within one year. The movie star stated that he replied to the man, telling him to give him two years, and he would see what he would become.
