Kenneth:He Is Not Known For Court Cases, He’s Better Known As Andy In Living In Bondage 1993 -Ogene

Hon. Victor Afam Ogene, a Nigerian politician currently serving in the 10th National Assembly, has commented on the public perception of actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo, saying he is more recognised for his acting career than his legal practice.

Speaking During an interview aired on SYMFONI on Friday, May 15, 2026, Hon. Ogene drew attention to Okonkwo’s background in Nollywood, noting that although he studied law and later became involved in politics, his prominence remains largely tied to his film career, particularly his role in the 1993 classic Living In Bondage.

He suggested that Okonkwo is not widely known for courtroom appearances or notable legal cases, but rather for his identity as an actor who has transitioned into the political space.

In his words, “Kenneth Okonkwo is simply an actor. An actor is someone who plays any assigned roles. The only difference is that he has changed stage. He was acting in Nollywood, now he has moved over to the political space. He studied law in between. I don’t think he is known for the cases he has taken up in court. He is better known as Andy in Living In Bondage (1993)….See More
