The man walked stealthily, as seen in the video, trying as much as possible not to raise any alarm or attract unnecessary attention.

Man disables CCTV camera in room

He kept watching his back and looking from side to side to ensure he was not being followed or spotted by anyone who could alert others.

One of the cameras captured him climbing through a window before entering a room and heading straight to the CCTV camera.

He unmounted the camera before proceeding with his mission, seemingly unaware that there were several other CCTV cameras installed around the compound.

Another camera later captured him carrying two items in his hands as he walked away, having completed his mission within minutes.

Kenyans react to CCTV footage

The video shared online sparked mixed reactions among social media users, who flocked to the comment section to share their views.

Hillary Atsachi:

“A fool, yet you will still struggle to catch him? They are already used to cameras. I think we need to invest in Maasai security after installing cameras.”

Estella Estelle:

“This person is very familiar with this compound and building (it looks like a school). He knows all the camera positions and the activity patterns of the staff or residents. Even the window he used, he knew it did not close properly. He wanted that TV and dispenser and knew how to leave without attracting attention.”

Diana Ingasiani:

“I had to watch it a second time, looking for what happened. Did he remove that CCTV camera or what? In the process, his face was briefly visible. Someone definitely knows that house very well.”

Danica Gillian:

“He is foolish, but at the same time, the owner of the house probably already knows who he is, even without seeing his face clearly.”

Brian Shikanda Kangu:

“That person is not foolish. He had a clear target, stole what he wanted, and left quickly. I am sure if someone visited him the next day, he would pretend nothing happened and say he was working all night.”
