The emotional story was shared online by Kenyan philanthropist and social media personality Shiksha Arora, who revealed she learnt of the tragedy while helping clear hospital bills.
How Belinda’s hubby died
According to Shiksha, the grieving mother, identified as Belinda, had recently given birth when her husband fell seriously ill with pneumonia after helping her be admitted to Pumwani Maternity Hospital.

“I just got some devastating news,” Shiksha wrote. “Belinda lost her husband just a few days after she gave birth to their newborn baby. He was in his early 20s… so young.”

She explained that although Belinda had been discharged from the hospital after delivery, her husband remained admitted as his condition worsened. Sadly, he died three days later.
The tragedy has left many people online deeply moved, with social media users expressing sympathy for the young widow now facing motherhood alone while mourning her husband.
Belinda lost hubby on her birthday
Shiksha said the heartbreaking encounter happened on her birthday, prompting her to make a special appeal rather than receive gifts for herself.
“It was my birthday, and for my birthday gift, I want everyone to support Belinda,” she said.
