All Progressives Congress, APC Woman Leader in Osun State, Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde has said that women will vote massively for the Governorship candidate of their party, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, come August 15, 2026 Governorship election.
Alhaja Fakokunde gave this assurance while speaking on the Impact Digital Television, IDTV, Yoruba personality interview programme, Themed: “Apero” in Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, Osun State yesterday.
According to her, women in the state were already mobilising to give the governorship candidate of the Osun APC huge votes more than ever before.
Alhaja Fakokunde emphasised that, “AMBO has all it takes to move the state forward. I am convinced beyond reasonable doubt that he will help build a greater Osun.
“We must vote for him, we must do our best to bring greater glory to the state. Our Osun is our future and all women must come out en masse to ensure total victory for AMBO.
“Let us as women leave better legacies for generations yet unborn by voting for AMBO”.
Alhaja Fakokunde who was a teacher turned politician appreciated God for her life and the unalloyed support to him by the entire women in the state, while promised not to relent in mobilising women both in the urban and rural areas to ensure total victory for AMBO in August 15.
“There is no doubt about that, AMBO will turn around the fortune of the entire Osun State as his administration will touch all sectors which will contribute to the welfare and betterment of the citizens of the state.
“I also want to use this medium to appeal to all women in the state who are eligible to vote to protect their Permanent Voter Card, PVC, which will enable them to vote for AMBO, adding that without the PVC, you will not be able to vote that”, Alhaja Fakokunde emphasised.
APC Chieftain Urges Peaceful Conduct During Party Primaries
Mr Akanni Seriki, a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council, GAC, representing Epe Division, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to maintain peace and order throughout the party’s primary elections.
Seriki made the appeal during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Lagos, yesterday.
He appealed to party members demonstrate civility and maturity during the primaries.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives primaries are scheduled to hold today Saturday ,May 16 ,and May 20 for state assemblies.
Seriki added that the success of the exercise would depend largely on the ability of party faithful to conduct themselves responsibly and avoid acts capable of causing tension or division within the party.
According to him, APC remains a progressive family built on unity, discipline and democratic principles.
He added that members must place the interest of the party above personal ambitions.
The chieftain urged aspirants and their supporters to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship before, during and after the exercise.
“There should be no room for violence, intimidation or hate campaigns”, he said.
He appealed to party leaders and stakeholders across the state to ensure a level playing field for all contestants.
Seriki said that transparent and credible primaries would further strengthen the APC ahead of future elections.
He expressed confidence in the leadership of the party and the electoral committee handling the process
Seriki added that peaceful primaries would further consolidate the APC’s dominance and unity in Lagos and beyond.
