According to a report by Daily Trust on Friday, May 15, 2026, former Sokoto State Governor and serving senator, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has withdrawn from the race to return to the National Assembly under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), following a political realignment within the party ahead of the next general elections.
