The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has sharply criticised President Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde over the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.
Speaking on the worsening security situation, the outspoken cleric said both the Federal Government and the Oyo State Government have failed to show enough urgency in handling the crisis.
Ayodele expressed concern that weeks after the abduction, several victims are still being held captive, describing the situation as painful and unacceptable.
According to him, the continued attacks, kidnappings and killings across the country point to serious failures in Nigeria’s security system.
Ayodele Knocks Makinde
The cleric also questioned Governor Makinde’s actions during the crisis, arguing that political activities should not take priority over the safety and rescue of abducted schoolchildren.
He said the incident has left many Nigerians worried while families of the victims continue to wait for good news.
> “The blood of the innocent is crying,” Ayodele declared.
Warning To Tinubu
Ayodele further warned that the Federal Government must act decisively to secure the release of the abducted children and improve security nationwide.
According to him, public frustration over insecurity is growing, and failure to address the issue could have serious political consequences ahead of future elections.
He maintained that protecting lives remains the primary responsibility of any government and urged authorities to make the rescue of the victims a top priority.
