‘Probably he was told to sing one term too sad indeed.”
Theophilus:
“I think we need to look at this unrest from a different perspective. What is the actual condition of our schools? Are students’ basic needs being adequately met? What are the conditions of their dormitories and sleeping areas? Are students being deprived of sufficient rest in the name of evening and morning preps? The government should urgently ensure a more balanced distribution of students across schools. Some schools have Grade 10 classes operating at more than twice their intended capacity, while others remain underpopulated. The pressure we are placing on our children is becoming overwhelming.”
Marion Ngareh:
“Teachers are fed up. Their slogan has become ‘just teach and go home. Mayb that’s why wale walimu wawili wa Utumishi hawakushughulika.”
