Gunmen have kidnapped Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister of former Power Minister and APC governorship aspirant Chief Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12‑year‑old twin sons, Peter and Paul.

The abduction occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on June 3 while she was taking the children to school. Security agencies have commenced investigations. The family appeals for calm and prayers for a safe rescue.

Key Points:

A former minister’s relative being kidnapped shows that no one is safe, regardless of status.
Twin boys taken while going to school deepens parental fear across Ibadan.
The abduction may further discourage school attendance in Oyo State.
Security agencies face pressure to rescue victims quickly to avoid political fallout.
The family’s appeal against speculation reflects fear that misinformation could harm rescue efforts.

Investigations are ongoing, with the family cooperating fully and hoping for a safe return of the three victims.
