Pastor Adeboye Urges Service Chiefs to End Terrorism in 90 Days or Resign

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on the Federal Government to give security chiefs a 90‑day ultimatum to eliminate terrorists or resign. In a video shared on X, Adeboye also urged the government to target terrorist sponsors, “no matter how influential they may be.” He recalled that a former president once issued a similar directive but did not follow through. The cleric reshared the video amid allegations that he had campaigned for a political party, which the RCCG has denied.

Key Points:

A 90‑day deadline would force security chiefs to adopt more aggressive strategies.
Targeting sponsors could disrupt terrorist financing networks.
Without enforcement, past ultimatums have failed, as Adeboye himself noted.
The call may increase pressure on the government to show measurable results.
A public ultimatum raises citizens’ expectations, risking disappointment if unmet.

The government must decide whether to adopt the recommendation or risk appearing complacent as insecurity persists.
