The United States President, Donald Trump, has declared that his country would defeat the Islamic Republic of Iran “peacefully or otherwise.”
Trump disclosed this while responding to reporters at the White House who asked whether he thinks Chinese President Xi Jinping, whom he will meet later this week in China, would be able to help with Iran.
He said: “No, I don’t think we need any help with Iran. We’ll win it one way or the other. We’ll win it peacefully or otherwise.
“Their navy’s gone, their air force is gone, every single element of their war machine is gone.”
The US President also noted that the blockade of Iranian ports is “100 percent effective.”
“Well, we’re going to see, and we’ll be thinking about it on the flight [to China], and we’ll be thinking about it for the next little while,” Trump said.
He reiterated his claim that the US has defeated Iran’s military “very soundly.”
“One way or another, it’s going to work out very well,” he added.
