Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, citing regional considerations and the need for continuity in governance.
Speaking on the forthcoming election, Adeleke said he is backing Tinubu because the President has roots in Osun State and because it is the turn of the South to produce Nigeria’s leader.
The Osun governor also appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the current administration, stressing that President Tinubu should be given more time to implement his economic and governance reforms.
According to Adeleke, the President has demonstrated commitment to national development by releasing funds to state governments, enabling governors across the federation to undertake developmental projects and improve public services.
He maintained that sustained support for the administration would allow ongoing reforms to yield positive results for the country, while emphasizing the importance of national unity and cooperation in advancing Nigeria’s development agenda.
