In a letter addressed to parents and guardians dated June 2, the school administration acknowledged the disruption and announced the temporary release of all students.
“Following the restlessness and disturbance experienced during preps in the school last night, the Board of Management and the school administration have resolved to temporarily release all students to allow for restoration of normalcy and a comprehensive assessment of the situation,” the letter stated.
Parents asked to pick students
The notice directed parents and guardians to pick up their sons from the school from 8 am, stressing that every student must leave the school compound in the company of a parent, guardian or an authorised representative.
The decision triggered a flurry of activity outside the school as families made arrangements to collect their children on short notice.
For students, the unexpected departure marked an abrupt interruption to the academic calendar, with uncertainty now surrounding when classes will resume.
School officials have assured parents that further communication will be issued once investigations and assessments are completed.
The administration said details regarding the reporting date and any additional arrangements would be shared in due course.

The temporary closure comes as education stakeholders increasingly grapple with student unrest in some learning institutions.
Such are often linked to a range of issues, including disciplinary concerns, student welfare, academic pressures and administrative grievances.
As parents await answers, attention is now focused on the findings of the school’s internal review and the measures that will be put in place to prevent a recurrence of the incident.
