The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released 279 results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination previously withheld due to suspected malpractice. In a statement, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said the release follows an ongoing investigation.
Some results have been cancelled where evidence of malpractice was established, while others were released where no prima facie case was found. Results from centres with suspicious activity remain withheld pending further investigation.
Key Points:
Candidates whose results were cleared can now check their status and proceed with the admission process.
Cancelled results mean affected candidates must retake the exam or forfeit the year’s admission cycle.
The board’s strict stance on malpractice may deter future cheating attempts.
Withheld results from suspicious centres prolong anxiety for thousands of candidates.
JAMB’s incremental release of results shows a commitment to thorough investigation over speed
