A chieftain of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Datti Baba-Ahmed, has said that former Cross River State governor, Donald Duke, could defeat President Bola Tinubu and Labour Party’s Peter Obi in a free, fair and credible election.
Speaking during an interview on Symfoni TV, Baba-Ahmed described Donald Duke as one of Nigeria’s most competent political figures, arguing that his national appeal and leadership qualities are often underestimated.
He noted that Duke recently emerged as the PRP presidential candidate and warned that Nigerians may be repeating the same mistake they made in 2023 when many underestimated Peter Obi’s chances.
According to him, Donald Duke has the capacity to win a competitive election, insisting that “in a free and fair election in Nigeria, Donald Duke is the winner.”
