A new road infrastructure assessment by StatiSense, based on the 2025 pSPI Report, has ranked Gombe State as the state with the best road quality in Nigeria, while Abia State emerged second on the national list.
According to the report, Jigawa State secured third position, followed by Niger State in fourth place and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, in fifth.
The South-East region recorded a strong showing, with Abia ranking second nationwide and Ebonyi placing sixth, reflecting significant improvements in road infrastructure across the region.
Rivers State came seventh, while Akwa Ibom occupied the eighth position. Bauchi, Zamfara and Kebbi States ranked ninth, tenth and eleventh respectively, with Adamawa State completing the top twelve.
